Hey guys! Psalm here! I wanted to take a second to tell you guys a little about my new song, ‘Out of the River’.
Life is full of peaks and valleys, ups and downs. This is a universal truth, for the believer and non-believer alike. I wrote this song in a valley.
My walk with God has been so incredible, and when I stand back and look at my journey over the past four years, it is awe-inspiring how much of a transformation I have undergone.
Before I was following God, I was on the fast-track to self-destruction. I would not be doing my story justice if I did not give God glory for his radical rescue mission that was my existence.
That said, it can be easy to lose sight of the big picture when we get caught in a storm. We hate to suffer, but it is in our suffering that so much beauty can be born. Forgetting this, we tend to blame God when we suffer. We tend to forget our starting place. We need to return to the river. We need to remember where God rescued us from.
I wrote this song in a valley. But this song is part of a bigger story. A story that is even bigger than myself. A story about God loving us through all of our peaks and valleys. Be blessed!
